Undertakes an extensive literature search in online databases, highlighting the main themes about loneliness interventions. Determines that interventions must foster reciprocal relationships and promote quality social engagement with others, while residents must receive personalised care to reduce loneliness.

Concludes that NGRNs value culture in assessing patient need.
